Gutter Cleaning at a 2-story house in Lincolnshire on Plymouth Court. 3800 sq ft. Completed by our Northbrook team.
— Northbrook crew
Lincolnshire sits in a stretch of mature suburban landscape where the tree canopy runs thick and fall debris tends to pile up fast. The two-story house we serviced here — roughly 3,800 square feet of footprint — had reached the point where the gutters needed a proper clear-out, and the tech arrived at 10:30 in the morning to get it done.
The run went about an hour and a half in total. Most of the gutters flushed out without much resistance, but a handful of elbows had packed up with compacted material and needed individual attention — cleared by hand and checked to confirm flow was restored before moving on. No sections were skipped. Once every elbow was open and the downspouts were draining freely, the job was wrapped and the invoice sent.

Common questions from Lincolnshire homeowners researching Gutter Cleaning.
For a 2-story house around 3,800 sq ft in Lincolnshire, IL, this job came in at $250, which is typical for homes of this size in the area. Most single-family gutter cleanings in the Chicago North Shore suburbs run between $150 and $350 depending on home size, story count, and how clogged the gutters and downspout elbows are.
For most 2-story homes, twice a year is the standard recommendation — once in late spring after seed and pollen season, and again in late fall after the leaves have dropped. If your property has overhanging trees, a third cleaning mid-summer can prevent the kind of packed elbow clogs we cleared on this job.
We clear debris from all gutter runs, flush the downspouts, and hand-clear clogged elbows like the ones we worked through on this 3,800 sq ft house — those are a common pressure point where compacted material blocks drainage entirely. All loosened debris is bagged and removed, and we do a final flow check to confirm water is moving freely through the system.
Gutter cleaning and gutter repair are separate services, but if we spot loose spikes, pulling seams, or damaged sections while we're on the job, we'll flag them for you so you know exactly what needs attention. Minor rehanging can sometimes be handled on the spot, and we can schedule a dedicated repair visit for anything more involved. For a quote, call our Northbrook team at (847) 297-4492.
